Woodbridge Horse Show President 2017

The Woodbridge Horse Show is pleased to introduce our President for 2017 – Mrs Clare Signy.

“The Signys have been involved with horses in Suffolk for over 20 years. We have had, over the years, about a dozen horses at home at any one time: eventers, hunters, National Hunt brood mares, yearlings and youngsters, dressage horses and family hacks. We have bred horses from home, delivering some of them here (very exciting) as well as keeping a sports horse stallion (exacting).

Everyone in the family has ridden to some degree; Adam and Oliver to a more capable level than the rest. Ollie evented (making the Junior British Team) and is now assistant trainer to Jamie Snowden in Lambourn, whilst Adam hunts with the Essex and Suffolk Foxhounds and occasionally the Easton Harriers.

I have competed in dressage at a very minor level as well as having small attempts at hunting, show jumping (2’6”) and cross-country, and was on the Easton Harriers Hunt Pony Club committee for over 10 years. We also have interests in a number of racehorses (both National Hunt and flat) as well as point-to-point horses which we race at the East Anglian tracks.

The whole family have competed at the Woodbridge Horse Show over many years and in several disciplines, especially show-jumping and dressage.

It is a very exciting honour to be this year’s president and to be involved with all the lovely people who contribute so much of their time and energy to make the show the huge success that it is!”
