2024 President

With less than two weeks left until the Show it’s time to introduce our President for 2024, Mrs Cherry Grover. This is what she has to say about her involvement with the Show.
‘My first Woodbridge Show was in the 70’s and was held on a meadow at Hasketon. We showed a Shire mare (Whittlesford Dot) in our red show dray. Since then l haven’t missed many shows. The Show then moved to the Hasketon Race Course and finally to the Suffolk Showground. During these years we have shown many geldings and always a Single Turnout. l remember when only Suffolk Horses were allowed to attend.
I am passionate about the Show and proud to be President in it’s 150th year. This show was always known as the Suffolk Breed Show where owners would bring their Stallions to be paraded for the beginning of the Show Season. Years ago the Show was held in March for this reason. It was then moved as the weather was always so bad and we got very little support and no public visitors.
As the interest in Suffolks is very promising, we all hope the Show will continue and get all the support it deserves.’
The Show Committee would like to thank Cherry for her continuing support of the Woodbridge Horse Show as President, Exhibitor and Judge.

We want your photographs…

To celebrate 150 years of the Woodbridge Horse Show we will be putting together an exhibition of photographs from the Show throughout the years. The exhibition, which is being kindly arranged by Jayne Groom, will be open for people to visit at the Show in May.

We will also be uploading as many of these photographs as possible onto Facebook, Instagram and our website so anyone who cannot make the Show can still celebrate its history.

If you have any photographs that you would like to be considered for inclusion in this exhibition please get in contact with us through our email. Any information you can provide about the photo (year, horse name, rider name, class etc) would be greatly appreciated.
